EBC Climate Change and Air Committee Announces New Vice Chair: Nasser Brahim of Woods Hole Group

The EBC is pleased to announce that Nasser Brahim, Senior Climate Resiliency Specialist at Woods Hole Group, is the new Vice Chair of the EBC Climate Change and Air Committee. Please join EBC in welcoming Nasser to this position.

Nasser joins the current Committee Chair of the Climate Change and Air Committee, Julie Eaton Ernst of Weston & Sampson. The members of the EBC Climate Change and Air Committee’s Leadership team will meet routinely with the committee chair and vice chair to identify topics for future EBC programs.  As part of their responsibility, members of the leadership team will also take on the role of program chair to organize and moderate EBC programs for this committee.

Mr. Brahim is a Senior Climate Resiliency Specialist at Woods Hole Group, an integrated coastal engineering, science, and technology firm. He helps coastal communities build climate resilience through vulnerability assessments, resiliency plans, and implementing capital and operational improvements. He has led impactful climate resiliency projects with state and local governments, utilities, non-profit organizations, higher education institutions, and real estate property managers. His projects have earned numerous engineering, planning, and design awards and been covered by NPR, The Boston Globe, New York Times, The Washington Post, and PBS NewsHour. Mr. Brahim is also a Steering Committee member of the EBC-UMass Boston Climate Adaptation Forum and the Board Vice-President of the Mystic River Watershed Association. He holds a Master of Environmental Management from Yale University and Bachelor of Arts from Florida International University.
