William Gallagher Associates (WGA) Announces Promotions


BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTS, May 27, 2008- William Gallagher Associates (WGA) announces the promotions of five employees to Senior Vice President: Kristin Kraeger in the Claims Group, Kathleen Comeau and Donna O’Neill from the Employee Benefits Group, and H. Chuck Rogers and Brian Kelleher within WGA’s Property & Casualty Group. WGA also announced the promotion of several employees to Vice President: Meredith McCabe and Ann Clarke from the Employee Benefits Group and Tom Catalini in WGA’s IT Department.

Ms. Kraeger has fifteen years of legal experience, primarily in insurance defense. She joined WGA five years ago to establish and lead the ExecutiveRisk Claims practice. Ms. Kraeger is a graduate of the College of The Holy Cross and Suffolk University Law School.

“Kristin’s claims advocacy and ability to work effectively with clients, carriers, and all of their respective attorneys has enabled WGA’s ExecutiveRisk practice to exhibit a major point of differentiation. Her efforts truly distinguish WGA from our competitors,” said Philip J. Edmundson, Chairman and CEO of WGA.

Ms. Comeau joined WGA in 1999 and is responsible for ensuring clients of applicable state and federal regulations that affect the insurance programs and their employees. She is actively involved in the New England Employee Benefits Council (NEEBC) and is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Boston University.

“Kathleen has always helped our clients by providing a very high level of legislative and ERISA advice on a consistent basis,” commented Edmundson.

Ms. O’Neill has vast industry insurance experience has effectively managed the Employee Benefits service staff for the past nine years.

“WGA maintains a reputation as having some of the best trained Account Managers in the industry,” said Edmundson. “It is due in part because of Donna’s leadership.”

Mr. Rogers joined WGA in 2000, bringing with him the valuable technical perspective of a field engineer. He is responsible for the design, marketing and implementation of Property and Casualty programs and advises on all aspects of his specialty area, Loss Control Engineering.

“Chuck represents WGA to a key constituency in the insurance industry,” Edmundson continued, “He has also been known to drop everything to meet with clients for emergency inspections from Calgary to Buffalo to Birmingham and back again.”

Mr. Kelleher has spent the last seven years at WGA working with clients to advise, design and execute the most comprehensive and cost effective Property & Casualty insurance programs.

“Brian is a knowledgeable advocate for his clients and represents us well in the insurance marketplace,” Edmundson remarked. “He has succeeded in developing key partnerships for WGA within the venture capital and accounting industries, most notably through his involvement with Deloitte’s Tech Venture Center in Waltham.”

Ms. McCabe focuses on the handling of all lines of coverage in an account management and retention capacity. She has strengths in compliance, cost-sharing strategies, plan design modification solutions and self-funding techniques.

“Today, Meredith manages many of the department’s most complex and demanding client programs. She has consistently performed as a team player, helping to develop newer employees and always being there to jump in when needed,” stated Chris Nadeau, Principal at WGA and head of the Employee Benefits Group.

Ms. Clarke is a staple in WGA’s Employee Benefits Group and continues to mentor co-workers while embracing new client interaction.

“Ann has developed her career from within WGA going back nearly ten years,” Nadeau continued. “She has the knowledge and experience to handle any type of clientele challenge.”

Mr. Catalini joined WGA in 2001 and has successfully aligned WGA?s technology with its business needs.

“Tom has shown leadership in moving many of WGA’s hardware and software initiatives forward,” commented Jim Smith, Principal. “He continues to strive to stay ahead of the curve and help WGA grow.”
