Walter Heller Joins Pare Corporation as Senior Vice President

Pare Corporation is pleased to announce that Walter Heller, P.E., has joined Pare Corporation as Senior Vice President and Manager of the Transportation Division.  Heller brings 28 years of experience as a professional engineer, project manager, and firm leader to this role. He will be assuming the role of the Transportation Division Manager from John Shevlin, who will be transitioning into a new leadership position in the corporate management of the firm.  Heller’s knowledge of multiple private and public sector project delivery methods will enable him to lead the Division in facilitating the transportation objectives of Pare’s clients.

Prior to coming to Pare, Heller was a principal leading the transportation division in the Providence office of an international firm. In this role, he developed the firm’s Transportation Group while managing the roadway, bridge, and transportation facility design and construction programs throughout New England. Preceding this position, he worked for the Massachusetts Department of Transportation as the District 6 Highway Director, for which he directed 475 employees to maintain the state highways, tunnels and bridges throughout 20 municipalities in the Boston region. He was involved as a state Representative Co-Chair of the “Every Day Counts” federal initiative to identify and deploy innovation aimed at shortening project delivery, enhancing roadway safety, and protecting the environment. In addition, he has municipal experience, having served as the Director of Public Works and the Town Engineer for the Town of Milton, MA.

Heller earned a dual Bachelor of Science in Civil and Architectural Engineering from Drexel University and is registered as a Professional Engineer in Rhode Island and Massachusetts.
