VHB Promotes Marc Bergeron, PWS to Director of the Massachusetts Natural Sciences Group

VHB is pleased to announce the promotion of Marc Bergeron to Director of the Massachusetts Natural Sciences Group. In this new role, Marc will provide strategic guidance and leadership to support the firm’s environmental work for land development, transportation, and utility clients.

“Since joining VHB in 2008 as a senior wetland scientist and project manager, Marc has been a key player in the firm’s growing utilities and environmental practice throughout New England,” said Massachusetts Managing Director of Environmental Services Leo Pierre Roy.

Marc has 19 years of experience and a diverse knowledge of environmental services. His technical background is in wetlands ecology, wetlands regulations, and regulatory compliance. He has successfully completed and/or contributed to numerous local, state, and federal environmental permit applications in the Northeast. He is particularly knowledgeable in siting and licensing energy facilities such as natural gas pipelines, overhead and underground electric transmission lines, and power generation facilities.

Marc is registered as a Professional Wetland Scientist through the Society of Wetland Scientists and is a Certified Wetland Scientist in New Hampshire. In 2009, Marc was recognized by the Worcester Business Journal on its list of Top 40 under Forty rising leaders in Central Massachusetts.
