SAN DIEGO, CA – San Diego headquartered Sullivan International Group, Inc., as managing partner in the Sullivan & Charter, Joint Venture, announced today that they have been awarded an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity, Worldwide Environmental Restoration and Construction (WERC09) Contract with the US Air Force – Air Force Center for Engineering and the Environment. This IDIQ vehicle has a contract capacity of $3 Billion that is shared with 19 other pre-qualified contractors. This five year contract has five, one year option periods and focuses on environmental restoration construction (including Military Munitions Response Program restoration), providing the full range of methods, technologies and supporting activities necessary to remedy site conditions in accordance with technical and regulatory requirements, and to provide limited minor construction and ancillary services.
“The WERC09 Contract will allow Sullivan and Charter to combine solid industry resumes, offering the US Air Force a fluid and responsive worldwide environmental engineering service offering,” said Steve Sullivan, CEO of Sullivan International Group, Inc. “We are very excited to be one of two Service-Disabled, Veteran-Owned Small Businesses chosen as an awardee on the WERC09 contract,” he continued.
The Air Force Center for Engineering and the Environment, with headquarters at Brooks City-Base, Texas, is a field operating agency of the Air Force Civil Engineer. The center provides Air Force leaders with the comprehensive expertise they need to protect, preserve, restore, develop and sustain our nation’s environmental and installation resources. AFCEE’s mission is to provide a complete range of technical and professional services in environmental and installation planning and engineering, and military housing construction and privatization.
In response to the WERC09 Award notice, Charter Environmental President Robert Delhome said, “As a recent graduate of the Small Business Administration 8(a) program, Charter has been directly involved with a variety of federal contracts over the last ten years, and this Joint Venture award with Sullivan begins a new chapter for both of our firms. The Sullivan & Charter JV provides both our firms with tremendous potential as we continue to grow and expand our relationship while providing opportunity for business and personal growth throughout the AFCEE service area.”
