The Boston Post invites all S.A.M.E members to join their Climate Resilience Part II – Funding to Make Your Projects Reality program on February 23rd. In Climate Resilience Part 1 – Resilience Planning in a Virtual World, we learned about the process to develop a resilience plan. In part II, the focus shifts to the implementation of the resilience plan and best practices for acquiring funding. The presentation will focus on the role a disaster can play in advancing your community’s resilience, how to position your projects to complete for funding throughout the disaster cycle, the importance of partnering, and an inventory of funding sources that may be applicable for your projects. A case study will represent the unique challenges and lessons learned in New York City’s quest to secure partners and federal grant funding for their Staten Island – Tottenville Shoreline Protection Project. The program will start at 12 pm and end at 1:15 pm. Click here to register.
