Suzanne King, named Chair of Pierce Atwood’s Employment Practice Group, has more than 25 years of experience counseling employers on a wide range of employment practices, including hiring, managing employee performance and discipline, terminations, harassment complaints, reasonable accommodations under the ADA, wage and hour practices, and more. Suzanne has been recognized by Chambers and Partners for her extensive employment law expertise, where sources have called her “the best employment attorney I’ve ever worked with.”
Suzanne offers regular trainings for HR professionals and managers, held webinars early on in the pandemic, providing employers with much-needed leadership on how to respond to COVID-19, and hosted a well-received four-part webinar series on helping workplace leaders think about and take positive steps toward racial equity in the workplace.
Katie Nokes Minervino will lead the firm’s Immigration team, partnering with the firm’s Employment Practice Group. Katie has a national business immigration practice where she works closely with employers in a wide range of industries to develop and execute immigration strategies that meet their short- and long-term immigration needs.
Katie has held several leadership roles with the American Immigration Lawyers Association and is a frequent speaker on immigration-related topics. She has been recognized for her pro bono service through the Katahdin Counsel Recognition Program, is pro bono panel attorney for the Immigrant Legal Advocacy Project, and co-chair of the firm’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee. Her deep expertise and natural ability to connect with both clients and colleagues make her an ideal choice to lead our immigration practice.
Ann Robinson, named Chair of Pierce Atwood’s Government Relations Practice Group, is a highly regarded Maine attorney and lobbyist, with an active legislative and regulatory law practice focused in the areas of health care, insurance, and professional regulation. She is a commissioner of the Maine delegation of the Uniform Law Commission, a founding board member of the Olympia Snowe Women’s Leadership Institute, and a member of the board of directors for the Maine State Chamber of Commerce. For the past 15 years, she has been recognized by “Best Lawyers in America” ® for Administrative/Regulatory Law.
