Westfield, MA, June 15, 2009 – Tighe & Bond, Inc. is pleased to announce that Paul E. Malmrose, P.E, has joined Tighe & Bond as Vice President. Paul brings 35 years of environmental and civil engineering expertise to the firm. He enjoys working to exceed clients’ expectations, sharing his vast experience using a team approach. He has been involved in planning and design of more than 30 water treatment plants with capacities ranging from 8.5 to 285 million gallons per day and spanning the full range of available treatment technologies. Paul has also participated in planning, designing and operating several municipal and industrial wastewater treatment facilities, and is a nationally recognized expert on water treatment plant residuals and biosolids management and treatment. A registered professional engineer in 3 states, he has also been involved in the planning, design and construction of sanitary sewers, pump stations and storm water drainage systems. Paul will work out of Tighe & Bond’s Middletown, Connecticut office.
Prior to joining Tighe & Bond, Paul was Vice President at CH2M HILL and recently served as the Planning and Design Manager for Program Management for the Chicago Department of Water Management. In this position he managed a capital improvement budget of $200-250 million per year, an in-house staff that designed over 70 miles of water main replacement annually, and outside consultants and contractors that designed and constructed water treatment and distribution facilities. With this experience, Paul understands the challenges of upgrading aging infrastructure while managing today?s limited resources.
Paul earned his Bachelor of Science degree in environmental engineering from Renssalaer Polytechnic Institute. He is an active member of American Water Works Association, is the past chairperson of the Membrane Residuals Management Subcommittee and past chairperson of the Residuals Management Research Committee. Paul is also an active member of the Water Environment Federation and has presented and published many papers throughout his professional career.
