New England Leaders to Discuss the Business of Getting to Clean Energy & Environment

NEWIEE’s Second Annual Women Shaping the Agenda in Energy and Environment Panel

Boston, MA (June 1, 2016)  New England Women in Energy and the Environment (NEWIEE) is pleased to announce its second annual panel in the “Women Shaping the Agenda in Energy and Environment” series. “The Business of Getting to Clean Energy and Environment” event will be held on Tuesday, July 12, 2016 from 5:00 PM to 8:30 PM in the ASEAN Auditorium at The Fletcher School at Tufts University, 160 Packard Ave, Medford, MA.

“NEWIEE’s panel series strives to provide a forum for the constructive and informative discussion of topics of interest today to environmental and energy professionals,” said Beth Barton, NEWIEE President and Partner at Day Pitney LLP. “NEWIEE’s goal is to bring together experienced and young professionals from across New England for an open conversation about this critical issue for our region and beyond. We are fortunate to have a recognized panel with us on July 12 to lead off a discussion about the business behind getting to clean energy and environment.”

The panel discussion will be moderated by Professor Barbara Kates-Garnick of the Fletcher School & Center for International Environment and Resource Policy. Barbara is a leader in the energy and environmental fields with an impressive career that has spanned the private and public sectors.

  • Cheryl Warren, National Grid USA Board Director and Innovation Strategist
  • Cynthia Arcate, President and CEO of PowerOptions
