Mike Howard Named Co-Managing Principal

Posted October 19, 2020 by

When Epsilon was founded in 1997, we were determined to build a first-rate environmental consulting firm that would rise to be among the best in our field. As a Principal-owned firm, we were equally determined to model our business such that ownership would transition from the founding Principals to ‘the next generation.’ We continue along that proven and successful path, and have taken another major step in that direction.

We are very pleased to announce the promotion of our long-time colleague, Mike Howard, to the position of Co-Managing Principal! Mike will work collaboratively with fellow Co-Managing Principals Peggy Briggs and Rob O’Neal, and the rest of the Epsilon leadership team. Collectively, Mike, Rob, and Peggy, along with our talented team of Principals and Associates, will continue to provide the steady, skilled, and thoughtful leadership that Epsilon has done since we first opened our doors.

Mike has established himself as an expert in the environmental permitting, ecological sciences, regulatory compliance, and energy licensing and siting practice areas of our firm. He has provided credible and convincing expert testimony before the Massachusetts Energy Facilities Siting Board and a long list of Massachusetts adjudicatory hearings and court cases. In addition to the requisite technical expertise, Mike’s success as a consultant is built on a strong work ethic, top-notch project management skills, and a good sense of humor that helps him survive the rigors and demands of environmental consulting! These skills, together with a solid understanding of the business of consulting, will serve Mike and Epsilon well in the years ahead.

As Co-Managing Principal, Mike will continue to maintain an active project workload but will be assuming a number of new responsibilities associated with the overall management and direction of the firm.

Please join us in congratulating Mike on this exciting promotion!
