Michele Leone Joins the EBC Rhode Island Chapter

It gives us great pleasure to announce that Michele Leone of National Grid will be joining the EBC Rhode Island Chapter. Michele looks forward to contributing her industry knowledge to the Rhode Island Chapter as a member of the Leadership Team.

Michele recently joined the National Grid US Gas team as the Director of Customer Metering Services and Gas Field Operations for Rhode Island, Cape Cod and Western Massachusetts. In this role, she is responsible for the safe, reliable and successful execution of gas and electric customer metering work and gas distribution construction and maintenance work, including regulatory-mandated work, customer-driven requests and emergency response. Prior to taking on her new role, Michele was the Director of Group Sustainability and Environment at National Grid, responsible for development of consistent Group-level environmental sustainability strategies and targets that advance the Company’s climate change ambitions.

She is an environmental engineer who joined National Grid in 2000 as a project manager overseeing the investigation and remediation of the Company’s legacy contaminated manufactured gas plant sites. In her 20 years at National Grid, Michele has held several other positions including Manager of New England and Upstate NY Site Investigation and Remediation; Director of Rhode Island Strategy and Performance Management, and Director of Electric Business Planning and Performance.

Prior to joining National Grid, Michele was an environmental consultant designing remedial strategies for contaminated sites across the country. She is a graduate of Syracuse University and the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor.
