Marc Richards Rejoins Tighe & Bond, Inc. as VP of Environmental Services

Seasoned Environmental Engineer & LSP Brings 20 Years of Experience to the Helm

Marc Richards, P.E., LSP rejoined Tighe & Bond, Inc. this month as the growing firm’s newly appointed Vice President of Environmental Services.  A Licensed Site Professional (LSP), he has more than 20 years of brownfields redevelopment, environmental assessment and cleanup, hazardous building materials abatement and demolition design, and construction management experience.  He offers both public and private sector clients tailored expertise and solutions for their most complex environmental challenges.

Besides LSP and Massachusetts Contingency Plan (MCP) services, Richards’ expertise includes oversight of environmental permitting, as well as above and below ground site cleanup, throughout the Northeast.  In addition, he has overseen the assessment and cleanup of polychlorinated biphenyl (PCB) sites, is an industry expert on PCB issues located within building materials, and assessed and mitigated vapor intrusion issues.  His portfolio includes a wide variety of land development projects where he has successfully worked with stakeholders to advance improvements while protecting the environmental and its natural resources.

Richards will work primarily out of Tighe & Bond’s Worcester, MA office but his involvement will be region-wide.
A resident of Westborough, Massachusetts, Richards  earned his master of science in environmental engineering from Tufts University, and his bachelor of science in civil engineering from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst.  He is a licensed professional engineer in Massachusetts and New Hampshire.  Marc is also active in many professional organizations including the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), Licensed Site Professional Association (LSPA), Environmental Business Council (EBC), National Association for Industrial and Office Parks (NAIOP), and the National Demolition Association (NDA).
