Boston, MA – Buchanan & Associates is pleased to announce Jamy Buchanan Madeja, Esq. is adding to her full-time work in Environmental, Land Use and Government Relations the position of Adjunct Professor at Boston College Law School. Ms. Madeja is honored to have joined the BC Law faculty. She taught Land Use Law and Planning in the Spring of 2020 in person and on-line and is eagerly awaiting teaching the same course in whatever format is most helpful by Spring, 2021. A new element of the course will be Environmental Justice and COVID-19.
Originally founded by Ms. Madeja in 1995 and headquartered in Boston, Buchanan & Associates counsels businesses, non-profits and individuals in meeting environmental, land use, and government relations needs, with a special expertise in “Chapter 91” licensing, “wetlands” permitting issues, federal stormwater permitting, and other water related development matters, along with more usual issues of contaminated real estate and land use matters. As former General Counsel for Environmental Affairs to Governor William F. Weld, Ms. Madeja testifies frequently before the state legislature on environmental issues and works constantly with state, federal and local regulators.
