Field Trip to Framingham’s Walnut Street Neighborhood

Mass ECAN, the MVP Program, DER, EBC, and the City of Framingham invite you to:

Framingham Field Trip
Oct. 26 (Rain Date Oct. 27)
10am -12pm

Join us to learn about a wetlands and stream restoration project that improves flood resiliency in Framingham’s Walnut Street Neighborhood! We will explore an elevated boardwalk that provides a new accessible path connecting an environmental justice neighborhood to community amenities, including the local school. We will then carpool to nearby Simpson Park to visit a possible dam removal project that has potential to increase recreational use of Sudbury River and provide ecological benefits. Afterwards, there is an optional picnic and networking lunch. This trip is organized in partnership by Mass ECAN, the MVP Program, DER, and local project partners, including the City of Framingham.
