Environment Science Learning Center, “e” inc. Holds 2016 Urban Green School Awards; Honors WGBH Science Editor, Dr. Heather Goldstone

Boston, MA, June 2, 2016 – “e” inc., an award-winning environment science learning center, is holding its second annual Urban Green School Awards to honor “Planet Protectors” in Boston, Cambridge, Somerville, and Charlestown. These awards honor school leaders and K-8 students who have demonstrated a commitment to achieving important “green goals” at their sites, as well as special teachers who have exceeded expectations through innovative or increased efforts in protecting the planet.

Eleven winners will be announced at an awards reception from 5:30 – 8:00 p.m. on June 9, 2016 at “e” inc.’s Discovery & Action Center, 114 16th Street, Room 1030, Charlestown, MA. The event will feature honorary guest, Dr. Heather Goldstone, Science Editor at WGBH and WCAI (Cape & Island, NPR). Dr. Goldstone will share her experiences as an Environment Scientist and Science Writer/Educator to the Public.  Boston Public School representatives, teachers, students and their families, will gather to celebrate those leaders who have demonstrated a commitment to environmental science.
