EBCNE Announces the Center for EcoTechnology as the Recipient of the 2016 EBC Award for Leadership by a Non-Profit

May 17, 2016 – Boston, MA – The Environmental Business Council of New England (EBC) is pleased to announce that the Center for EcoTechnoloy is the recipient of the 2016 EBC Environmental-Energy Merit Award for Leadership by a Non-Profit Organization.
The Center for EcoTechnology is noted for being a leader and pioneer in food recovery in Massachusetts, most recently through its partnership with the state Department of Environmental Protection to offer RecyclingWorks MA. For 40 years the Center for EcoTechnology has offered proven advice and resources to save money, improve comfort, and help businesses perform better. Working with partners throughout the region, they are helping make our community a better place to live and work. The Center for EcoTechnology makes green make sense.
Each year, the EBC recognizes companies, organizations and individuals for outstanding environmental and energy accomplishments in the promotion of a sustainable, clean environment through the EBEE Awards Celebration. These awards were established by the EBC to encourage companies, government agencies, non-profit organizations, and environmental professionals to serve as models for others to emulate and, in doing so, further the mission and objectives of the EBC.
The Environmental Merit Award for Service to the Environmental Industry was established by resolution of the Board of Directors on February 5, 2001 in recognition of outstanding environmental leadership by a non-profit organization.
The Center for EcoTechnology will be honored at the Annual EBEE Awards Celebration on June 16 at the Marriott Hotel in Newton, Massachusetts.
