EBC Ocean and Coastal Resources Committee Announces New Leadership Team Member

EBC is pleased to announce that David Lager, Head of Coastal Strategy at SumCo Eco-Contracting has joined the Leadership Team of the EBC Ocean and Coastal Resources Committee. Please join EBC in welcoming David to this position.

The members of the EBC Ocean and Coastal Resources Committee Leadership Team meet routinely with the chairs and vice chairs to identify topics for future EBC programs. As part of their responsibility, members of the leadership team will also take on the role of program chair to organize and moderate EBC programs.

Dave, the founder of NETCO, has over 35 years of relevant construction
experience and heads up SumCo’s Coastal Division. He has completed
hundreds of coastal, inland marine, heavy civil, public works, environmental,
commercial, and real estate development projects. Dave has extensive
experience restoring beaches and stabilizing coastlines for homeowners along
the New England Coast including Nantucket, Martha’s Vineyard, Cape Cod,
Rhode Island and Hawaii.

Dave has forged decades-long private client relationships while establishing
SumCo Eco as a leader in coastal construction and construction project
management. Along with his team, he has pioneered the use of biodegradable
coir and jute fabrics for shoreline and coastal bank stabilization where
traditional “hard” engineering solutions cannot be used.

Dave has directly managed or overseen the construction of more than
100 projects with an approximate value exceeding $350 million, and has
managed construction teams exceeding 50 contractors working on one site.
