- At the start of the new year, we were excited to have Rob O’Neal officially join Peggy Briggs as Co-Managing Principal of the firm. Ted Barten stepped down after his 20-year stint as Co-Managing Principal, but has since remained active in his work on major energy projects. While we were sad to see Ted step down from this role, Rob has been a great leader working collaboratively with Peggy providing the steady, skilled, and thoughtful leadership which Epsilon has enjoyed for its first two decades. - Since 1997, Epsilon has provided consulting services to the energy industry and more recently has been more involved with the offshore wind energy industry. Epsilon was instrumental in leading the applications for the Vineyard Wind project – a proposed offshore wind project approximately 14 miles south of Martha’s Vineyard. Epsilon led applications that were submitted to federal and state agencies, which also included preparing the first Construction and Operations Plan filed with BOEM for the current generation of U.S. offshore wind projects. In May 2018, Vineyard Wind received exciting news that they were selected to provide all of the 800 megawatts (MW) of wind power currently being awarded by the Commonwealth. - We were excited to be among the award recipients at EBC’s 25th Annual EBEE Awards and 28th Annual Meeting. Epsilon Principal Mike Howard along with representatives from Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation, GEI Consultants, Halvorson Design Partnership, Inc., Exponent, DeRosa Environmental Consulting, Inc., and SumCo Eco-Contracting, LLC received the EBC Nicholas Humber Environmental – Energy Award for Outstanding Collaboration for their joint effort on the Senator Joseph Finnegan Park at Port Norfolk.
