EBC Member Cristina Mendoza Wins the NEWIEE Rising Star Award

Needham, MA – The Environmental Business Council of New England would like to congratulate EBC Member Cristina Mendoza, Chair of the EBC Ascending Professionals Committee and Senior Consultant at  Sustainserv, Inc. on receiving The Rising Star Award.

Cristina Mendoza is an experienced strategy and sustainability consultant, passionate about contributing to the making of a more sustainable world for all. Her extensive sustainability, environmental science, and business expertise fuel the strategic solutions she develops for clients and industry organizations, and her passion for the field is shared with team members through formal mentorship.

Beyond her professional commitments, since 2019 Ms. Mendoza has actively served as a Board Member and Strategic Planning Committee Co-Chair of the non-profit, ‘e’inc. A Charlestown-based non-profit, “e” inc. that provides children, teens, and adults a scientific understanding of Earth’s biomes, resources, and systems and the skills to protect the planet and live sustainably.

She is also in her fourth year serving as Chair of the Environmental Business Council (EBC) of New England Ascending Professionals Committee, previously served as an expert advisor of the Associated Industries of Massachusetts (AIM) Sustainability Round Table, and was a Founding Member of the MassMEDIC Corporate Social Responsibility Workgroup.

Ms. Mendoza received the Environmental Business Council’s Ascending Leader Award in 2017 for her exceptional leadership and industry involvement in the early stages of her career and was the key developer of a Program Optimization Strategy service which won the 2020 Environmental Business Journal award for New Practice Areas.

Ms. Mendoza holds a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Science, and a Master of Business Administration (MBA), both from Clark University.
