EBC Energy Resources Committee Announces New Vice Chair: Richard Kanoff of Prince Lobel

The EBC is pleased to announce that Richard Kanoff, Partner at Prince Lobel Tye LLP is the new Vice Chair of the EBC Energy Resources Committee. Please join EBC in welcoming Richard to this position.

Richard joins the current Committee Chair of the Energy Resources Committee, Marc Bergeron of Epsilon Associates, Inc. The members of the EBC Energy Resources Committee’s Leadership team will meet routinely with the committee chair and vice chair to identify topics for future EBC programs.  As part of their responsibility, members of the leadership team will also take on the role of program chair to organize and moderate EBC programs for this committee.

Richard Kanoff is chair of Prince Lobel’s Renewable Energy Industry group. He has devoted his career to helping private and public clients understand and navigate the often-complex world of energy, climate change, innovation and technology. He works with a diverse group of emerging and established private and public companies, start-ups, non-profits, individuals, and municipalities and focuses on renewable energy and clean technology law, regulatory policy and litigation including permitting, siting, finance, regulatory compliance, project development and transactional matters. Mr. Kanoff’s clients include IPPs and providers of bio-fuels, biomass, energy and demand management, smart grid, solar, wind, storage, fuel cells and other distributed generation technologies. As part of his practice, he represents clients in litigation, including appearances before the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court, the United States Court of Appeals (1st Circuit), the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission and state energy regulatory commissions in New England. Mr. Kanoff earned his B.A. degree from Lafayette College and his J.D. degree from George Washington University.
