Rory's Bio:

Mr. Alsberg is the Senior Business Development Manager for Dam Construction with J.F. Brennan Company, Inc. (Brennan), based out of La Crosse, Wisconsin. He grew up around dams and hydroelectric projects and have worked professionally in the industry since 2003 when he started in operations at North American Hydro (NAH). During the 12 years he worked with NAH/Eagle Creek Renewable Energy, he worked in several departments, including operations, mechanical and electrical maintenance, regulatory, and project management. During this time, the experience that he gained gave him an understanding of what it takes to keep 40 hydroelectric projects staffed, operational, and compliant 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

In 2015, he left the owner’s side to develop Americas Energy Services (AES), providing high-level professionals to the renewable energy industry. As the Director of Development, he completed various tasks at AES, including putting together the business plan, creating a logo, designing the literature and website, building the company’s supporting structures, including accounting and networking systems, and much more to get the company structure created. Once the administrative systems were in place, he assembled and managed a team of energy professionals, developed an IT support system for the team, educated clients on their services, and much more. The services that they completed ranged from Regulatory Services to Due Diligence and Management of new Hydro Development. In addition, they worked on projects in the United States, Canada, South America, Africa, and other countries, providing different unique and valuable experiences.

In his current role at Brennan, he continues to use his dam and hydroelectric experience as a construction resource to the industry. Brennan specializes in dam construction and repairs on navigational, hydroelectric, diversion, storage, detention, and earthen structures of all sizes. They work on every part of the dam, both above and below the waterline. Brennan crews have the experience and equipment necessary to work in various conditions, including confined spaces, elevated workstations, underwater construction, and more. When most firms pursue dam work as a secondary focus, they have made it a primary focus with dedicated crews, specialized equipment, and a robust safety program.
