The EBC is pleased to announce that Julie Eaton Ernst, Lead Resiliency Engineer at Weston & Sampson, is now the Chair of the EBC Climate Change and Air Committee. Please join EBC in welcoming Julie to this position.
Julie joins current Vice Chair of the EBC Climate Change & Air Committee, Samuel Bell of GZA GeoEnvironmental, Inc. The members of the EBC Climate Change and Air Committee’s Leadership team will meet routinely with the committee chair and vice chair to identify topics for future EBC programs. As part of their responsibility, members of the leadership team will also take on the role of program chair to organize and moderate EBC programs for this committee.

Julie Eaton Ernst is a licensed professional engineer and is the lead resiliency engineer at Weston & Sampson. For over a decade, her professional and academic ventures have focused on looking at climate change resiliency and adaptation from policy and design perspectives. She specializes in applying climate projections in civil design practices and translating conceptual adaptation strategies into feasible engineered solutions. Julie received a 2018 Ascending Leader Award from EBC for her work in climate resilience. She has Bachelor’s degrees in Political Science (University of Rochester) and Civil Engineering (UMass Lowell), and a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering (UMass Lowell).
