MetroFuture: Making a Greater Boston Region

March 9, 2007 @ 10:30 am - 12:30 pm

Sponsored by: Citizens’ Housing and Planning Association.
Co-Hosts:
Citizens' Housing and Planning Association
More than 3,000 people from across Metro Boston have participated in the Metropolitan Area Planning Council’s (MAPC) MetroFuture project, which is planning for the region’s growth and development through 2030. MetroFuture addresses many issues that are critical to the health and quality of life for residents across the region, from access to housing and jobs, to traffic, public health and municipal finances.
Join us at a briefing for MAPC’s MetroFuture project, where you will:

  • Learn about four different paths that the region’s growth and development could follow through 2030; and
  • Tell us which one you want for the region.

MetroFuture will produce a plan to guide the region’s growth through 2030, and develop a series of recommended actions for communities, the region and the state to take. These will include legislation, model by-laws and other public policy steps.
