NEXUS is a full-immersion resource center for sustainable design and green building innovation, including over 9,000 square feet of product showroom, resource and samples libraries, networking and event space. This showcase is an opportunity to learn about green building products from the manufacturers themselves and to network with other developers, architects, and design and building professionals interested in green building.
In addition to the Exhibitor Showcase, we have invited two speakers who will address the theme of the tradeshow, ?Green Is Affordable? beginning at 4pm. Those familiar with green building already know that sustainable design can generate long term financial benefits for building owners and reduce environmental impacts locally, regionally, and nationally. Barbra Batshalom, Executive Director of the Green Roundtable will talk about the environmental benefits of green building. Dick Jones, Chief Operating Officer and Managed Assets President of Boston Community Capital, will talk about the importance of green building to the affordable housing community.
Our first showcase attracted over 120 people. We hope you can join us on December 6. Attendance is free and food and drinks will be provided. The showcase is sponsored by Green Depot.
