EBC Young Environmental Professionals Program: Interest Based Negotiation

Whether negotiating with your boss about your workload, with a colleague over your joint client presentation, with a supplier over terms & conditions, or with your partner about where to spend the holidays this year, your daily life is teeming with opportunities to create joint value and build strong relationships. This 2-hour workshop will introduce key concepts and practical skills for avoiding common negotiation pitfalls and achieving “win-win” outcomes.

Stacy Lennon is a negotiation and conflict management trainer, facilitator, and coach, with 20 years of experience in Asia, the Middle East, Europe, sub-Saharan Africa, and North America.
Since 1996, Stacy has designed and delivered customized learning initiatives around strategic negotiation, facilitation, consensus building, and difficult conversations. Her work focuses on helping clients more clearly and explicitly link thought, action, and results, whether the client’s goal is to create a successful joint venture, increase sales, better manage a struggling team, or improve a relationship with a crucial supplier, customer, or stakeholder.
Stacy’s corporate clients have included Alcatel-Lucent, BAE, Boeing, BNYMellon, Capital One, Chevron, General Mills, Kraft, Marsh & McLennan, Millennium, Pixar, Standard Bank, and Vestas, among others. She has worked with numerous international financial institutions including the World Bank, the International Finance Corporation, the Inter-American Development Bank, and the International Monetary Fund. In the nonprofit and international sectors, she has worked with The Nature Conservancy, the Taktse School, humanitarian agencies delivering aid in conflict zones, UNAIDS, the World Health Organization, Ethiopian parliamentarians, emerging leaders in Dubai, and the Singapore Police Force.
In the academic realm, Stacy teaches conflict resolution and leadership classes at the Tufts Gordon Institute. She has taught at Georgetown University Law Center and University of Massachusetts – Boston. Stacy was also a longtime teaching assistant at the Program on Negotiation at Harvard Law School.
