EBC Water Resources Program: Rep. Dykema Reports on Massachusetts Water Infrastructure Legislation
September 10, 2014 @ 8:00 am - 9:30 am
Massachusetts cities and towns are responsible for maintaining sewer pipes, municipal wastewater treatment plants, drinking water wells and surface water supplies. Many of these systems are aging and in need of repair and upgrading.
Senate Bill 2021, an Act Relative to Drinking Water and Wastewater Infrastructure, was filed by Representative Carolyn Dykema of Holliston and Senator Jamie Eldridge of Acton and was enacted by the Legislature on July 31, 2014. The bill was signed into law as Chapter 259 on August 6, 2014, by Governor Deval Patrick.
Plan to attend this EBC legislative briefing by Representative Dykema, who significantly lead the effort leading to passage of this legislation, and learn about this new Massachusetts law and the implications for your municipal clients and your business.
