This EBC Water Resources Program will be hosting US EPA Region 1 and MassDEP to discuss the NPDES MS4 (Municipal Separate Storm Sewer Systems) program and give an update on the latest news about the permit and related work around the Commonwealth.
Speakers include Newton Tedder, Acting Chief of EPA Region 1’s Stormwater and Construction Section, who will discuss the MS4 permit and feedback from Year One annual reports. He will also provide a brief overview of Year Two requirements. Laura Schifman, who has recently joined MassDEP as their Stormwater Coordinator, will provide an overview of the work the stormwater coalitions are doing around the state and the work these coalitions have proposed as part of the MassDEP administered MS4 Assistance Grant program. She will also review the status of local town and city Stormwater Enterprise Funds.
