This EBC Water Resources program will be an informational session presenting how Green Infrastructure projects can help to abate pollution and reduce risks from stormwater and climate change impacts in a cost-efficient manner. Massachusetts has long been a leader in implementing solutions to environmental problems and the use of these Best Management Practices (BMPs) provide environmental compliance.

Steve Long from the Nature Conservancy will discuss policy issues and the current path to make nature-based solutions more mainstream including the use of the “Tool Box” of Naturally Resilient Communities.

Kate England will discuss Boston Water & Sewer Commission’s (BWSC) approach to meet permit requirements through the use of these BMPs in densely developed urban Boston and discuss implementation and successes.

General Continuing Education Certificates are awarded by the EBC for this program (1.5 training contact hours). Please select this option during registration if you wish to receive a certificate.
