EBC Volunteers for 8th Annual Earth Day Charles River Clean-Up

April 21, 2007 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm EDT

Get Outside and Make a Difference.
Join the EBC’s Young Environmental Professionals (YEPs) and volunteer for the 8th Annual Earth Day Charles River Cleanup.
Please join the EBC Young Environmental Professionals along with several hundred other volunteers as we team up with The Esplanade Association to beautify Boston?s Historic Park on the banks of the Charles River.
The EBC will team up with the Esplanade Association, one of several groups organizing this year’s cleanup along the banks of the Charles River.
Volunteer Event organized by The Esplanade Association to help clean up the Esplanade, raise awareness of the Charles River Basin, and spend the morning with other EBC YEPs for some fresh air along the banks of the Charles. The Esplanade Association will provide cleanup supplies and cleanup “instructions” when we arrive at 9 a.m.  Last year over 1,600 helped clean up the Charles and the entire Cleanup had over 1,600.
Other activities that day:
An optional lunch/after-cleanup party at Artisani Park in Allston (also along the Charles River) with other volunteers.
A “Pre-event” media kick off with government figures currently scheduled for 9 a.m. at the Hatch Shell; it might start a bit sooner.
Children are welcome to join you.  Please wear appropriate clothing.
