This EBC Solid Waste Management Program provides a unique opportunity for attendees to hear from John Fischer, Deputy Division Director of Solid Waste Materials Management at the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection, and from each of the four regional MassDEP Solid Waste Section Chiefs. Particularly that this turbulent time, there is no better way to hear what’s on the minds of the Solid Waste Section Chiefs, as the waste industry continues to serve as an essential business during the pandemic.
In addition to talking about the critical solid waste issues in each region, discussion topics with the DEP Solid Waste Management Section Chiefs will include, but not be limited to updates on:
- Solid Waste Master Plan
- Waste in the Time of COVID
- Special Projects
- Rail Haul
- Post-Closure Issues
- Frequent Violations
There will be ample time for open discussion and Q & A with attendees.
Continuing Education Certificates are awarded by the EBC for this program (2.5 training contact hours). Please send an email to EBC staff (firstname.lastname@example.org) following the conclusion of the program to receive a certificate.
