This annual EBC Solid Waste Program will provide an update on the state of end-of-the-line disposal, including rail transfer, not only for municipal Solid Waste generated in Massachusetts, but also for the broader waste streams that include C&D residuals, biomass, contaminated soils, ash, disaster debris, special wastes, difficult-to-manage/bulky items, and recyclables processing residuals.
Hear from key stakeholders from industry and government who will discuss the impending shortfall of disposal capacity anticipated in Massachusetts (and New England) in the next five years. Learn about the potential financial, logistical, environmental, and economic impacts of relying on out-of- state long-haul transfer. Gain an understanding of the pros and cons of the alternatives and the decision making needed so as to allow Massachusetts to better control its future. View the Attendee List
