Cancelled – EBC Site Remediation and Redevelopment Program: MassDEP’s “New” Approach to Mitigating Vapor Intrusion Risks at Disposal Sites
This program has been cancelled. Please update your calendar.
The 2014 amendments to the Massachusetts Contingency Plan made significant changes to how sites potentially impacted by vapor intrusion are assessed, remediated and redeveloped. More recently, in October 2016, MassDEP issued its long-awaited final vapor intrusion guidance in an effort to provide more clarity and direction to responsible parties and Licensed Site Professionals required to mitigate vapor intrusion risks in compliance with the revised MCP. This EBC Site Remediation and Redevelopment program will address current and emerging topics relating to the investigation, cleanup and redevelopment of vapor intrusion sites in accordance with the new guidance (and revised MCP). We will also identify and discuss the practical lessons learned to date regarding the implementation of MassDEP’s more stringent approach to evaluating vapor intrusion risks, and the use of Active Exposure Pathway Mitigation Measures and Permanent Solutions with Conditions to achieve closure at vapor intrusion sites.
Continuing Education Certificates are awarded by the EBC for this program (3.5 training contact hours). Please select this option during registration if you wish to receive a certificate.
