EBC Site Remediation and Redevelopment Program: Asbestos in Soils – Soil Management during Site Development
This EBC Site Remediation and Redevelopment Program will focus on identifying locations where asbestos containing materials (ACM) in soil may be a topic of concern. We will review examples of sites where ACM in soil has been an issue and how regulatory coordination supported successful redevelopment. The discussion will include a review of the intersection between regulatory requirements set forth in the MCP (Massachusetts Contingency Plan) and other MassDEP programs (i.e. non-traditional work plan process, perimeter dust monitoring). We will discuss site closure options (ie. limited excavation and removal or AUL with protective cover).
Continuing Education Certificates are awarded by the EBC for this program (3.5 training contact hours). Please select this option during registration if you wish to receive a certificate.
