EBC Second Annual New Hampshire Offshore Wind Webinar: Offshore Wind in the Gulf of Maine

Date: October 28, 2020

Phone: (617) 505-1818

Email: [email protected]

Virtual Meeting

This EBC New Hampshire Offshore Wind conference will feature presentations and remarks by federal and state agency officials, offshore wind developers, electric grid operators and the commercial fishing community. All these parties seek to ensure that the consideration of offshore wind development is conducted in a respectful, open, transparent, and collaborative process.

Participants will learn about BOEM`s efforts nationally and its Offshore Wind Task Force process for the Gulf of Maine, NREL`s studies on floating wind platform technologies and trends, considerations associated with the addition of offshore wind generation to the grid, and the importance of fishing industry and maritime navigation involvement in the planning process.

There will also be an update on recent state legislation and the implementation of New Hampshire Governor Sununu`s Offshore Wind Executive Order which has established four advisory boards on: (1) fisheries, endangered species and environmental impacts; (2) workforce, economic development and supply chain; (3) existing offshore industries; and (4) siting, transmission and infrastructure.”

A robust panel discussion will follow the presentations.

Continuing Education Certificates are awarded by the EBC for this program (4.0 training contact hours). Please send an email to EBC staff ([email protected]) following the conclusion of the program to receive a certificate.
