The Generator Improvements Rule was finalized by EPA in November 2016 and is anticipated to become effective in Rhode Island in late 2019. The final “Management Standards for Hazardous Waste Pharmaceuticals and Amendment to the P075 Listing for Nicotine” (the Hazardous Waste Pharmaceutical Rule) was published in the February 22, 2019 Federal Register. These rule changes affect all hazardous waste generators in Rhode Island.
This EBC Rhode Island program will present a summary of these two final rules and provide an update on the use of myRCRAid and the e-Manifest system. In addition to technical details, RIDEM will discuss the process for integrating these rules into the Rhode Island Hazardous Waste Regulations and the proposed effective dates for implementation.
There will be adequate time for Q & A from the audience.
General Continuing Education Certificates are awarded by the EBC for this program (2.0 training contact hours). Please select this option during registration if you wish to receive a certificate.
