This EBC Rhode Island Program will provide insight on nontraditional means to enhance coastal resilience and address sea level rise.  The first portion of the program will provide a case study on the Warren, RI plan to retreat from flood-prone areas via relocation of neighborhoods and some commercial activities. Efforts to protect the municipal wastewater treatment facility will also be presented.  The program will then provide insight into the state of the practice of addressing coastal resilience via natural and nature-based solutions.  Finally, a presentation focused on coastal resilience funding opportunities and strategies will be provided.

A robust panel discussion with the audience will conclude the program.

General Continuing Education Certificates are awarded by the EBC for this program (2.5 training contact hours). Certificates are automatically provided via email link for registered attendees at the conclusion of the webinar.
