Climate change and its consequences are recognized by many as a global issue. Words such as sea level rise, fortification, and resiliency are being used more often to describe attempts at managing impacts. This EBC Rhode Island Chapter program will provide attendees with an overview/update of the developments in climate change science, RI Department of Environmental Management climate initiatives, climate change’s impact on the roadway infrastructure, Federal Emergency Management Agency’s National Flood Insurance Program, and legal ramifications for shoreline properties.

General Continuing Education Certificates are awarded by the EBC for this program (3.5 training contact hours). Please select this option during registration if you wish to receive a certificate.
