EBC Renewable Energy Program: Incentives and Financing for Renewable Energy Development
May 23, 2014 @ 7:30 am - 12:00 pm
Public policy initiatives have been created in recent years to expand the use of renewable energy. The goal of these initiatives is to increase domestic energy production to advance economic and national security interests, diversify fuel sources across regions and expand distributed generation for long-term grid reliability, and generate cleaner, sustainable sources of energy for long-term economic benefit and to minimize effects of climate change.
This EBC Renewable Energy Program will review the investment and production tax credit programs which have been the backbone of federal policy support incentivizing private markets as well as programs initiated by individual New England States including renewable portfolio standards and long-term contracts. We will also look at the effectiveness of these programs and the potential impacts to these markets from the importation of clean, renewable hydropower from Canada.
Continuing Education Certificates are awarded by the EBC for this program (3.5 training contact hours). Please select this option during registration if you wish to receive a certificate.
