In this EBC Professional Development webinar, speakers will discuss professional liability concerns within the environmental industry from the insurance, legal, and consulting perspectives. From the moment we begin our careers as environmental professionals, we have to keep in mind that our field notes, text messages, emails, chats, and social media postings may be discoverable during litigation.

Panelists will discuss how to use this foresight in communicating effectively and professionally.  Speakers will use lessons and examples from their own careers to cover specific topics, including navigating the attorney-client and work product privileges, the importance of document retention policies and document management practices, understanding professional liability exposures arising out of professional negligence, the role of insurance as a tool to help protect firms from these exposures, and how contractual terms can limit – or expand – your potential exposure.

A robust panel discussion with the audience will conclude the webinar.

Additional information can be found under the “Agenda Details” tab above.
