EBC Ocean and Coastal Resources Management Program: Coastal Construction Case Studies

Often professionals working on the development and permitting of coastal projects do not get to experience the construction of their projects, or more importantly, receive the benefits of lessons learned. The realities of constructing projects are often different from the documents and drawings that we produce. Without the benefit of this knowledge, lessons learned cannot be applied to future projects. This program will bring together coastal construction contractors and project owners to provide case studies of recent coastal construction projects as well as lessons learned. The contractors will provide their perspective on how we, as project development and permitting professionals, can take into account the realities of construction operations into our work to improve the ability of projects to be constructed.

This will be an invaluable program for coastal development consultants and agency permit reviewers to attend to get some “real-world” experience.
