With presentations from industry experts, this EBC New Hampshire Chapter program will focus on PCBs, both in building materials as well as the environment. PCBs are one of only a few contaminants regulated both by the EPA (through TSCA) as well as by individual states (NHDES). As the TSCA regulations are fairly rigid and prescriptive, the investigation and remediation of PCBs can be extremely challenging. Topics to be covered in this EBC program include applicable regulations, definitions of PCB wastes, examples of commonly encountered PCB-containing building materials, common investigation methods, remedial options/strategies, and disposal considerations.
