This EBC program on Emerging Contaminants of Concern will discuss the recent current events with regards to detections of Perfluorinated Alkylated Substances (PFAS) in water supplies and groundwater in New Hampshire. The program will include presentations from regulators at the NHDES about the status of New Hampshire projects and actions being undertaken to address PFAS. There will also be presentations from project scientists and engineers regarding developments in surrounding states and lessons learned.  Other state and federal officials will discuss related regulatory programs and constraints that are evolving to protect the public from these contaminants as well as the basis for the extremely low EPA health advisory concentration of 70 parts per trillion. Following the presentations, a panel discussion will be held to discuss the opportunities that are available to identify, quantify, and provide treatment for Contaminants of Emerging Concern focused on PFAS.

Continuing Education Certificates are awarded by the EBC for this program (3.5 training contact hours). Please select this option during registration if you wish to receive a certificate.
