Final Agenda – Emerging Contaminants Program The Future of PFAS Regulation and Cleanup in New Hampshire

New Hampshire Emerging Contaminants Program

The Future of PFAS Regulation and Cleanup in New Hampshire

This timely EBC New Hampshire Emerging Contaminants program will focus on the regulation, investigation, and remediation of perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) in the environment in New Hampshire — the current situation based upon a comprehensive statewide sampling initiative undertaken by the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services (NHDES) and near-term developments, including adoption of Maximum Contaminant Levels (MCLs) for certain PFAS in drinking water. Experts from the private sector and the NHDES will also explore future anticipated regulatory developments, such as the establishment of surface water standards for PFAS, and the broader implications that PFAS regulatory standards may have for the management of solid waste and landfill leachate, wastewater treatment plants, and biosolids. PFAS are proving to be widespread in NH’s environment, and this program is designed to foster a deeper understanding of the challenges and complexities associated with addressing these emerging contaminants.

A robust panel discussion will conclude the program.

Continuing Education Certificates are awarded by the EBC for this program (3.5 training contact hours). Please select this option during registration if you wish to receive a certificate.
