EBC New Hampshire Chapter Program: Eversource Energy’s Initiatives for New Hampshire’s Energy Future
May 15, 2015 @ 8:00 am - 12:00 pm
This program is sponsored by:
As you know from recent news and discussions across our state, New Hampshire and the New England region are in the midst of an energy crisis that is driving some of the nation’s highest energy prices for business and residential customers. Without the introduction of new diverse energy supplies, New Hampshire’s long‐term economic outlook is challenged. As a result of the increasingly precarious nature of New Hampshire’s energy supply, businesses and residents are seeing dramatic increases in their energy bills, with predictions that they will continue to rise substantially over the next few years. The ability to expand or even retain our current businesses in New Hampshire is being threatened by escalating energy costs. To compete and succeed in the marketplace, we must have an adequate energy supply infrastructure to meet our state’s growing energy demands. New Hampshire’s energy solutions are multifaceted and the need for additional capacity is great. Whether it is working toward a New Hampshire solution involving Northern Pass or considering a new natural gas pipeline that will relieve the strain on supply, New Hampshire is facing an energy challenge that must be addressed.
Without new sources of energy, New Hampshire’s long term economic future is threatened by predictions that energy prices will continue to rise. Adequate energy supply is imperative for the regional and the state’s economy to thrive going forward.
Eversource NH has several initiatives underway to help address New Hampshire’s energy future. Please join EBC at Energy Park in Manchester New Hampshire on Friday, May 15th to learn more about these initiatives.
Continuing Education Certificates are awarded by the EBC for this program (3.5 training contact hours). Please select this option during registration if you wish to receive a certificate.
