EBC Indoor Air Quality Committee – New ASTM Mold Standard

The ASTM has issued a new Baseline Survey Process for mold in commercial buildings and commercial real estate transactions. Entitled “Standard Guide for Readily Observable Mold and Conditions Conducive to Mold in Commercial Buildings: Baseline Survey Process,” this new standard includes visual inspection, review of documents, and interviews. It is intended to identify conditions in a commercial building that may be conducive to mold growth. Learn about this new standard, discuss its practical applications, determine if you can offer this service to your clients to enhance your services, and discuss what to do if mold or conditions conducive to mold growth are detected. The speaker will be Mr. A. David Scarchilli, P.E., chairperson of the EBC Indoor Air Quality Committee.
