EBC Evening Workshop: Clear as MUD! A RCRA Overview and Trivia Night

April 26, 2018 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Please join the Environmental Business Council’s Site Remediation & Redevelopment Committee for an informal evening of networking with your peers and an introduction to the world of RCRA. We will discuss basic elements of the federal RCRA regulations and how these regulations govern the disposal of liquids, soil and debris from impacted sites and buildings. This will be accomplished with a rousing game of RCRA trivia with prizes for the top three teams. Beer, BBQ, and other fare will be available throughout the event to keep your mind sharp! Following trivia there will be an introduction to RCRA to provide a basic understanding of how these regulations impact your projects.

Topics covered will include:

  • Characteristic wastes and listed wastes
  • Treatment standards
  • UHC’s
  • Debris vs. soil
  • Waste determination process
  • Generator’s liabilities

Time will be spent discussing how the site investigatory process impacts waste disposal both positively and negatively. Speakers will also discuss tips to keep your project running smoothly.

This evening workshop is co-hosted by the EBC Ascending Professionals Committee.
