EBC Evening Program: Update on the Massachusetts Department of Public Utilities Commission

The mission of the Massachusetts Department of Public Utilities is to ensure that utility consumers are provided with the most reliable service at the lowest possible cost; to regulate energy efficiency and renewable energy investments by the utilities; to protect the public safety from transportation and gas pipeline related accidents; to oversee the energy facilities siting process; and to ensure that residential ratepayers’ rights are protected.
Commissioner David Cash will provide an update on the latest developments at the DPU, including:
- Recent analysis of the benefits and costs of the state’s clean energy agenda,
- The newly launched grid and modernization / smart grid proceedings,
- And recent Department activities on interconnection and net metering.
