This EBC Energy Resources Webinar will provide insights into how electric utility infrastructure is being adapted in response to the effects of climate change.  Eversource has pledged to become carbon neutral by 2030 which will require addressing the ongoing impacts of climate change on their system, which includes much of the coastal regions of MA, CT and NH.  The presenters will delve into the subtle differences between reliability and resiliency and society’s increased reliance on electricity for space heat and transportation.  The emergence of microgrids will be discussed along with the complexity of building and maintaining them as energized islands within New England’s expansive grid.
