EBC Energy Resources Program: Wind Turbine Acoustics and Noise Policy Update

This EBC Energy Resources Program will provide an update on the issues around noise created by wind turbines. The program will include a presentation on the findings of the Massachusetts Study on Wind Turbine Acoustics, which was launched by the Commonwealth to advance the understanding of wind turbine acoustics and their effects on the community. Participants will also hear from MassDEP regarding the scope of potential changes to noise regulations and policy for all noise sources, including a potential permitting scheme for wind turbines.
