EBC Energy Resources Program: Microgrids – Transforming the Grid

May 12, 2017 @ 7:30 am - 11:30 am

View the Attendee List

This EBC Energy Resources program will delve into the role of microgrids in transforming the electricity grid in the Northeast. Experts from around the Northeast will provide perspectives on their microgrid experience and the regulatory framework in their state, from Connecticut with an active network of microgrids to Massachusetts and New York where activity is heating up.

There are a variety of market drivers moving successful projects for public and private entities. This program will describe the drivers and technical nuances of several regional projects, common issues among them and the evolving role of microgrids at a state and regional level.

The presentations will be followed by a panel discussion to provide program participants ample opportunity to ask the presenters to elaborate on issues of concern. Plan to attend this EBC program to learn about current microgrid activity in the region and how it fits into ongoing efforts related to resiliency, grid reliability, renewable energy and energy efficiency.

General Continuing Education Certificates are awarded by the EBC for this program (2.5 training contact hours). Please select this option during registration if you wish to receive a certificate.
